Level 1
By attempting any of the tasks you agree that it is done entirely at your own risk,
Hindquarter yield
The inside hindleg must step underneath the body for at least 2-3 steps. The inside foreleg must step on the spot or away from the handler NOT towards.
Back up
The horse must remain relatively straight for 4 steps
Forehand yield
The horse must must step across with his front legs for 2-3 steps
Walk/ halt at the shoulder
Horse should walk at the handler's shoulder with a loose leadrope and halt either when the handler halts or from a verbal cue
Fast/ slow
Horse should walk at the handler's shoulder with a loose leadrope as the handler speeds up to a brisk walk and then slow right down again when the handler slows to a very slow walk.
Draw in a straight line in walk and stop.
Handler steps back and asks the horse to come towards him. The horse moves towards the handler willingly with a loose rope.
Circling
Walk and trot a circle on both reins with minimal tension in the rope.
