Swapping sides on line at walk
Handler walks with horse at their right shoulder and then asks the horse to swap sides behind them and come up beside the left shoulder.
Stop at distance from trot
The horse stops from trot at a distance no less than 5m from the handler. This is to be performed from a visual or verbal cue
Take the mark from the circle in trot at liberty
Handler takes the mark and asks the horse to circle them in trot. Then they step back and ask the horse to take the mark from the circle.
Trot circles at the shoulder
Trot a circle to the right with the horse at your outside shoulder repeat on the other rein. You can come to halt and walk to your horse's other side for this.
Shoulder in (softening yield) on the circle in trot on the line.
Handler asks the horse to flex to the inside whilst maintaining forward motion on the circle. This can be performed on the line.
Run to the mark
Have someone hold your horse at least 10m away (unless you have a solid stay). Call the horse to the mark as you step back off it. You get some trot or canter steps.
